Hi guys

What's the difference between the Francorchamps Days (3 day event) in May and the four Franco Fun Days? I went to a day about 6/7 years ago where the Spa Francorchamps Club was supported by Porsche with their display cars (new 997 GT3 Cup?) and stand, etc; and there were fast passenger rides, track sessions, races, etc. I'd like to organise a trip for our Region again this year, so interested to see what suits the more restrained driver [8|] more. Of course we'll cheer you lot on if you're there [;)][:)]. (Any suggestions on mid range hotels too?)

The others can answer on the days, as I've only been to these days once. But for hotels for a group go for Le Relais in Francochamps. They are very reasonable, have a great friendly bar, and is only 15mins walk from La Source entrance. I stayed there 3-4 years in a row, always got consistent service, and favourable location for getting up late and still getting into the circuit on time.

The thee consecutive PCF Days are basically a Porsche Fest. Each day is split into consecutive FUN, SPORT and RACING 45-50 min series (RACING, slicks only) and gather people from all over Europe. Some find track time too busy/scary others love it.

The Franco Fun Days are also split into the FUN, SPORT and RACING categories, but the number of cars on the track is much more reduced compared with the PCF Days and so most people find this less intimidating for a first experience of Spa.

Horses for courses.

For both events, catering is at the same relatively high standards.

Thanks Philippe. Looks like the Fun Days will suit our group more. May try for the June one if not a big clash of calendar in our Region.

Thanks Hugh. Very helpful.
