Porsche Club Reports 718 Spyder having GT3 Engine

This month's PCA magazine offers news on Porsche's model development cycle including "the 718 Boxster will see a Spyder version with the 911 GT3's 4.0 liter engine"

Must be true then :ROFLMAO:

Where do the journos dig up this stuff Ralph?

It might just be confirmation though that the 982/718 GT4/Spyder will be a 4.0L.

It must be true surely Porsche wouldn't tell them Porkies ![:D]

Most journalists (with a few exceptions) don't know the difference between a Spyder and a Speedster (or their elbow)
 
I spoke with Andreas Preuninger at The Goodwood Festival of Speed this year and although he wouldn't tell me what engine is going into the GT4 he did say it's definitely not the 4.0 from the GT3.
