Porsche damaged. Doom and gloom. Chartwell to the rescue. Smiles all round

It is what we all dread and hope never happens? Some idiot reversing into your pride and joy. In this case my rear nearside bumper.

I had, a few months earlier completed a registration form with Chartwell of Derby, an acclaimed bodyshop repairer for prestige cars.
They sent me a plastic credit style card with an 0845 number incase of such accidents. I rang the number and a short while later was contacted by Accident Exchange, a company that is used by Chartwell. They handled everything, dealing with all issues with third parties. Once liability was admitted they dropped off a Porsche Boxster S and drove my Porsche to Chartwell. Two weeks later I visited Chartwell to collect my car. What a brilliant job. As new.

The collision although at a slow impact, had caused over £2,500 worth of damage. Wow! The repair work was superb.

Downsides! Well yes there was. The Boxster was delivered in a dirty state! The guy who delivered it stated on a vehicle inspection form that the car war untouched! Not so! Two scuffed wheels, two dents and a torn mud flap! All four tyres were under inflated between 6 and 8 pounds and the oil level was under the minimum level! Accident Exchange management told me this was unheard of!
Just something to watch.

The reason for posting this thread is to say that if your Porsche is damaged, you can't go far wrong with Chartwell. Barring little hiccups the whole experience made this trauma easier to accept. I will definately use them again if the worse happens.

Have to agree with Robin when it comes to Chartwell.

Some plonker reversed in to our SLK a couple of years ago. Would not have minded but we only had the car a couple of months.

Chartwell were brilliant throughout and kept us informed on how the car was coming along.
