Hi

Had my 2003 2.7l Boxster in the local Porsche Dealship on Friday for a key . The technical cam back with an OBC printout that had an error blocking

the writing of the new Transponder . It read Fault Memory 21 W Line ( DME - immobiliser ) , Open Circuit .

Anyone here experienced this before? No the passenger floor is not when and has not been since I bought the car in May this year .

It's kept covered in bad weather and the drain ports are free of blockage . The car also randomly beeps once or twice to indicate an error I suppose.

Hasn’t the dealer investigated this further and come up with some options for you Gary … a replacement immobiliser module maybe? Of course it could just be a bad connection in the immobiliser circuit.🤔

OK - An update - The vehicle went into Porshtek in Leeds . They programmed a new key and informed me of a " door sync error " , which I knew - needs drivers side door latch mech / micro switch . No one had a clue what Porsche Preston " diagnostics printout " was about . It was in simulation mode ( ie not connected to a vehicle ) and some of the options listed were not available on my car. 🤷‍♂️ Stay vigilant chaps and lasses . Stay vigilant .
