Porsche discount, t4s and c4s query

Thinking about pex my 56 plate x5 against a c4s or t4s. I understand that porsche are discounting at the moment but my question is does this 5k subsidised pex value apply to pexing porsche cars in only?
Does anyone have any thoughts on the targa 4s? I had heard that the damping is slightly softer, is this correct and is it a positive thing?
Thanks.

The term discounting is not within the Porsche OPC vocabulary[;)], however there is talk of the 5K as an incentive on your trade in costs.
I've not heard if it has been for your Porsche or other makes or not.

I think the Targa is a nice cross over, not that many of them around so you do get something more exclusive than others.
I should imagine the damping may be slightly softer for its intended use.. and carrying that bit extra weight up top.

Officially OPC's are not discounting, but most of them live in the real world and if there's a deal to be done and cash to be banked, they'll welcome you with open arms. [:)]

It's a buyer's market so take advantage where you can. They'll not hesitate to take money off you and tell you they're doing you a favour when selling is easy. The worm is certainly turning at the moment! [;)]

I've just got over £18K off a motor that I'm buying and I'm still negotiating! [8|]

Likelihood is they'll give you a much improved deal on your PX car, rather than a big discount the new one. This looks better in their eyes and keeps the new inventory books looking straight.
Give it some welly - you know it makes sense.[8D]

Thanks for responses, certainly will. Think Im going to find a couple with the spec i want then go in between xmas and new years eve.
Definatley not buying new again.
Could I be nosey and ask what the 18k was off of? Obviously 18k off a new gt2 is not the same as 18k off a second hand c4s.
Thanks again.

interested to see how you fare-a chum of mine just got out of his 07 x5 d with 7k miles cost 50k and he got 30 for it and was relieved!AND that was for a 535d touring approx same value.he bought.as clive says there are certainly deals to be done-i have been offered relatively good p/ex against new gen 2 cars but prob only cos of the 5k making it look good!

Our x5 is the last of the e53 model so comming up for 2 and a bit yrs old. Been offered 18k against a c63 amg and a further 3.5k discount but do not like the quality of the amg. We will see but now just may be the time to get a good deal on both pex and purchase.
Has anyone else noticed how the opc takes cars off the used car system and then a few weeks later they appear back on? Maybe be sales fallen through I suppose[;)]
