LOL just saw that now ! Afraid I must have missed you, By the time Id been seen to I found myself leaving just after 12pm
Was a cracking morning though and was great to speak to the Porsche Tech guy especially about the details of doing my rebuild. They were fairly impressed I managed to rebuild it myself as its a pretty major job by anyones standards !
It was also interesting to see another boxster engine sitting in bits with a completely different problem to what mine had, I guess it shows that there are some out there needing some serious repairs and if your not carefull you could end up with a huge bill !!
They told us just to remove and refit the lump your looking at 17 hours of labour and thats before you go into pulling it apart to rebuild it !! I guess thats why some people say its cheaper to just replace the full engine.
They have a cracking workshop and some of the cars on display were simply stunning ! I loved the black GT3 in the corner with the carbon ceramic brakes etc, I also liked the spyder but would have liked it more in white LOL
Some of the stuff round the back in their pound was just awesome.
And I NEED to know what they used to wash the car with as it came round seriously shiny and the tyre stuff they applied is fantastic too !
