When are you going?
Turned up nice and early. Had a nice cup of coffee and a slice of something while I watched the bikers on hanger straight and the cars on the Porsche track.
When my time came, had a brief intro then straight onto the track in the red Gen 2 GT3 with the cup pack and a few laps at a steady pace to learn the lines. Then building the speed quickly to a good pace.
With sport mode engaged the car felt a little more stable and really impressed me with how easy it was to drive fast, very nice turn in and well balanced. You could feel the weight of the engine in the back, but it helps the car turn nicely.
Some tuition on lines really helped improve my speed, and the double apex down hill right hander, then hard braking into the left while still completing the right turn feels great as the car wiggles slightly but never feels flustered.
A trip to the kickplate was next and this thing feels really strange. Normally oversteer is instinctive, you have a good idea when its going to happen and in which direction, but this thing flips you in an instant
Next the white gen 1 GT2
Fast does not describe it [
It really felt much more of a road car than the GT3, from the thin steering wheel, to the slower turn in. Dissapointed ?, no foot to the floor with 500HP was ever going to be dissapointing. Bet the GT2 RS is wonderful
But I still went back to the GT3 to end the session. What a car, and this will be my choice when I get the kids through school
Great day and I am pleased to report I did not get overtaken once. Following a customer in a Turbo was a great moment.
Think I will book the 1/2 day course next which includes laps of the Silverstone club track in the GT3.
Summary, fantastic. Choose the GT3
