Just booked a 90 minute 1 to 1 session at Silverstone driving a GT3 then a GT2 !

Should be fun, warmed up on a 996TT Tip at three sisters the other week to get the eye in, so raring to go.

Can't wait.

Anyone done this session ? the kick plate in a GT3 should be fun [:D]

I'd be really interested to hear a review of the session once you have done it.
When are you going?

Did this a month ago and it was great.

Circuit laps in both, plus kick plate, ice hill and also low friction circuit.

Enjoy it. The cars are completely different and I am curious to hear which you prefer.

Have a great 90mins. It passes far too quickly.

Dont think I do the ice hill or low friction in the GT course, think thats the Carrera 2 and 4.

Over 500bhp should be interesting on the kick plate

Going on the 20th.

It was a gift from Christmas. Cost £275 but I upgraded to the GT3 & GT2 for an extra £125

Well what a day.

Turned up nice and early. Had a nice cup of coffee and a slice of something while I watched the bikers on hanger straight and the cars on the Porsche track.

When my time came, had a brief intro then straight onto the track in the red Gen 2 GT3 with the cup pack and a few laps at a steady pace to learn the lines. Then building the speed quickly to a good pace.

With sport mode engaged the car felt a little more stable and really impressed me with how easy it was to drive fast, very nice turn in and well balanced. You could feel the weight of the engine in the back, but it helps the car turn nicely.

Some tuition on lines really helped improve my speed, and the double apex down hill right hander, then hard braking into the left while still completing the right turn feels great as the car wiggles slightly but never feels flustered.

A trip to the kickplate was next and this thing feels really strange. Normally oversteer is instinctive, you have a good idea when its going to happen and in which direction, but this thing flips you in an instant :). Spinning a few times, I eventually got some decent catches done.

Next the white gen 1 GT2

Fast does not describe it [:D], tiny bit of lag (and I mean lag rather than being off boost), but it fairly rockets out of corners, the weight of the engine a real bonus to traction for such a powerfull car. It felt less stable than the GT3 and bobbed about at the front much more. Kick plate and Ice hill were easier with the greater weight.
It really felt much more of a road car than the GT3, from the thin steering wheel, to the slower turn in. Dissapointed ?, no foot to the floor with 500HP was ever going to be dissapointing. Bet the GT2 RS is wonderful

But I still went back to the GT3 to end the session. What a car, and this will be my choice when I get the kids through school :)

Great day and I am pleased to report I did not get overtaken once. Following a customer in a Turbo was a great moment.

Think I will book the 1/2 day course next which includes laps of the Silverstone club track in the GT3.

Summary, fantastic. Choose the GT3 :)

Me and my brother got our dad the GT experience for his birthday back in November, he said the same thing with regards to the GT3 against the GT2, enjoying the GT3 much more with the type of track they use at the experience centre. Some longer straights may be what the GT2 need's.

I bet the GT2 on hanger straight is amazing, and would lap much quicker. but I would still prefer to drive the GT3
