Porsche Extended Warranty

Hi there,
Last year I started a thread here on whether to purchase an extended warranty for my 2003 996 4S. There was much debate on the subject with a wide variety of opinions. I subsequently attended a 996 register event at Porsche Centre Cambridge and received a free vehicle check (the car got a clean bill of health). After discussions with Gary Sorrell (Porsche Centre Cambridge) and Jonny McGirl (996 Register) I decided to take out the extended warranty.
I thought I would follow-up my experience since taking out the warranty. The car has just returned from a minor service, both radiators, both a/c condensers and all spark plug coils were replaced free of charge under the warranty. I still have 6 month left on the warranty so I guess in my case paying for the warranty has paid off, and given me peace of mind against major repair bills. I also received 25% discount on the service bill as my car is over 5 years old. Overall very pleased with the service provided.
Regards,

That sounds good - was the 25% off their hourly rate as well as parts. We are not too far from Cambridge and go there quite often these days, so maybe I should switch to them from Colchester ?

Checked my bill and I received 10% off parts and 25% off labour. I suggest that you contact Cambridge Porsche Centre on 01223 872872 to check it out for yourself.

Regards,

i think wth a second hand car geting the warrnaty for a year or two is a good choice
just incase youve been passed a dog
after that its more of a gamble - unless your engine explodes its poor value

thats what i did and havent regretted it - and my engine hasnt exploded

i bought new and refused warranty on principle-2yrs only on a £50k car is criminal
just hope the engine doesnt explode!
