Porsche factory and Museum.

The Saint.

New member
I am looking to go to the Porsche factory and museum tour in Stuttgart. Just wondered if anybody has been and could recommend a hotel? We are going in September, and would like to see a few sights as well, as we are going for 3 days.

I have stayed on two occasions at the Hotel Adler. Some of the rooms are Porsche themed. Porsche Club tours sometimes stay there.

Very good hotel, great food. It's about 20k away from the Museum.

We've stayed at Hotel Heiligenstein in the Neuweier district of Baden Baden on 2 occasions, lovely hotel, excellent food, about 1 hour from Porsche Museum & lovely drives through Black Forest along L500 to Freudenstadt

I recently stayed in Arcotel Camino in the centre of Stuttgart, breakfast is pricey but room rates very good. Great customer service and good sized rooms. There is an underground car park although I parked on the street as it was over a weekend. Only about a 12 min drive from Porsche and MB museums

I also liked the look of this hotel although it is slightly further out of town:

We are collecting our 718 shortly from Zuffenhausen. The Porsche appointed travel agent has suggested we use the Maritim Hotel, Stuttgart.

We've stayed at the Holiday Inn Stuttgart a number of times. It's close to the museum/factory, about 5-10 mins drive. There is a secure underground car park and you can get the train from outside the hotel and be in the city centre in 15 mins. There is also a good Italian restaurant over the railway line. If you show your PCGB membership card at the museum you will get in for free and you also get 15% discount in the museum shop and 10% off in the driver's selection shop at the OPC across the road. Have a great trip!

First time in Stuttgart I stayed at the Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten https://www.hotelschlossgarten.com/en?src=af right in the city, great hotel and perfect location in the city By the park opposite the central train station. But work was paying which was a bonus As it's not cheap.

Just been again, at my expense this time so stayed a little further out but still a great hotel
Relexa Waldhotel https://www.relexa-hotel-stuttgart.de/en Dated rooms but beautiful hotel and good food. Not too far a drive to the factory But well out of the city.

Be sure to book the factory tour before you go, it is fantastic. Was worried the misses would be bored but she absolutely loved it and I've even heard her enthusing about it to her friends on more than one occasion.

They might be on summer shutdown at the moment though!

Have a great trip.
