Porsche finance question...

Hoping to get some help...

I have a late 2004 997 C2S Coupe on Porsche finance.
I have had it for about 2.5 years, I have 1.5 years left on the agreement.
It has quite a few extras and almost done 42k miles.
I bought the car totally on a whim and have never looked back.
That said I am keen to change it for a newer model (997.2 PDK second hand, ex demo car ideally) but don't know if finance agreements are transferable, whether this is a good idea in terms of financials, will i get a decent trade in price etc.
Any help, thoughts, advice much appreciated.

Thanks,
James

James,

I am in a similar position, so if you find anything useful out could you let me know (in my case it'll be more like 3 years with 1 left to go and about 30k miles by then)

Anything is possible. OPCs can do that.

By the way, my ex 997.2 PDK is for sale at Porsche Centre Swindon. 1800 miles, great spec, mint. It is a C2 Cab, so may not be what you are looking for. http://www.porschehost.com/ApprovedStockIframe.asp?opc=11 If it suits, you will find it better than a demostrator; they are invariably hammered. My cars are pampered!

If you phone up Porsche finance they will give you a settlement figure, which you can either pay off with cash or let the dealer settle the amount left outstanding with the trade in value. Sounds easy hey! Just depends on residuals dealer margins whether or not you'll feel shafted!

Thank you all for your replies.
Off to Porsche East London tomorrow as it is local and they have a car i like.
Will try Porsche Guildford at the weekend to see if there is much difference between OPC's.
Last time Guildford won the business.
Will let you know how i get on.

James
