Porsche friendly tyre people, Surrey

Hi all - does anyone know of any tyre shop or similar in the Surrey who are Porsche friendly? I have a slow puncture on the rear of my MY06 C2S. Plenty of tread left, so don't want to change the rears (£ ouch!), so any advice / positive (or negative!) experiences would be useful. I am guessing (is that hoping?) it's the valve, so just need someone in the first instance to give me an honest professional opinion and treat the car with care.

Thanks in advance.

All depends where you are in Surrey !

I use Chessington tyres in Burpham Guildford....they do all 5 of my cars tyres etc and i'm Mr fussy .

And even if I buy the tyres off Black Circle they fit them for a small charge and are very friendly .

I too am in Esher and in the past have used Surbiton Tyre and Wheel (they might be called Surbiton Wheel and Tyre - they're near the Hook roundabout going towards Surbiton) - they do a lot of alloy wheels so should be fine. I run Corsas though so go to Elite at Horsham. If you suspect the valve just put some spit (or washing up liquid) on it - if it bubbles then it's the valve. If you can get the wheel off then put it in water and look for bubbles. Fancy meeting for a drink, at, say, The Foley?.

Have you tried Esher Tyre and Exhaust on Hampton Court Way? They fitted a pair of Bridgestone SO2's for me a while back that I'd bought on the web. Can't remember the charge but it was very reasonable, and other fitters had refused to help as they didn't supply the tyres. I'm not sure if it's still the case, but there used to be a stack of Porsche Post's in the waiting room, so someone involved in the business must have been in the club.

Otherwise, I find Merityre in Kingston very helpful. I'm often over there for nitrogen top-ups to the tyres of one of my cars, and they are always happy to oblige without charge. They've MOT'd my C2 for the last couple of years, and they seem pretty knowledgeable on Porsche and respectful of the car. They've supplied tyres for my Merc family wagon at decent prices, and the service is always very good. Oh, and Jimmy Tarbuck uses them!!! I saw him there a few months back.

Elite Motors inat Mionks Gate Horsham do specialise in porsche, the owner is a Porsche nut, done my Aston, Ferrari and Porsche, but you must insists on the top guys.

Martin's Tyres in West End. I realise it's a little further but it's only just the other side of Woking and the prices and service are VERY good, they actually take care of your wheels too (which is getting rarer and rarer these days!).
