Hi there guys.

I currently own a Porsche 997 C2S and recently had a revo remap which was good
Until a discovered a company(a-ltuning in Berkshire.) who can live map these cars. my first thoughts Were is it possible? and how would they do it. It was bought my attention that They map your car on a track and it takes 5-7 hours to do it right with top
Results.I had my mines done and the torque is awesome they car is exactly how i
Wanted very aggressive and I got so much power now and its better on fuel
Around town. Driving it in sports mode the car is so quick and has so much torque.
Why did Porsche not make this happen when it left the factory.I spent 60k on this car
And I thought i made a mistake because it was boring to drive and a BMW m5 felt better.
Now I am in love with it. The exhaust note has changed too it truly is very quick
And very responsive better than revo. oh the companys web address is
www.a-ltuning.com.

Thanks guys

R911.

I tend to agree. Sounds too much like an advert to me. Whoever wrote their web site needs a spellchecker too.

I'm always suspicious of re-map claims like this. I've heard lots of good reports from 993 owners about guys like Wayne Schofield at Chipwizards can do a very good job of live remapping on a dyno, but on the track? Also, there weren't any tracks in Langley last time I looked.

The example I always quote is that Porsche offer an X50 retrofit kit for the 3.4 litre 996. It involves new valves, springs, manifolds, cams, pistons, ECU, etc, and offers about 25bhp. It costs £5000 + fitting. Porsche do a very good job of mapping on the later engines, and I feel that all you would be doing with a "cheap" remap is taking away any safety factors. You will also void the warranty, and the map is checked for alterations when the diagnostic check is done during regular servicing. Just my 2p's worth.

He did not reply to your question then. Do you think he will defend his self now? (Spell check on[:D])

he has already had a beating on piston heads - I think there should be a section for retentive posts done by businesses pretending to be a happy customer, or customers that got free stuff or cheap stuff if they bleat on about a supplier!

Then that's an ideal time to close this thread!
