Porsche original electric aerial - help needed

Elliot

New member
My electric aerial wasnt retracting properly so i took it off my 1980 SC and reversed the Tensioner which worked but then when i put it on the car it stopped working. I can hear the switch operating when i turn the radio on. but the motor is not.

i took it apart again and checked the circuit board but dont really know what i am looking for.

does anybody out there have one i can buy or does anybody have the electrical expertise to have a look at it and possibly repair it for me as i would love to keep the original aerial.

Please contact me on 07971 477065 if you can help.

regards

Elliot.

a hirschmann (OE i believe) anodised aerial

thank you but this is not the original unit that is on my car. i will post details and photo later.

Perhaps i should use a new one but i would feel that this would be a cop out and i think it at least deserves the attention of an auto electrician. any recommendations for the Peterborough area or even a club member that is willing to look at it.

cheers
