Hi, i was reading the article about the trip to Austria written by Brian Halling and was impressed.
I'm taking part in a trip next year and will be planning the route from Innsbruck to Turin.
Would appreciate any advice you may have to help with the planning, such as advice on toll roads, food/fuel stops and POI's.

Cheers,

Graeme

I went on the Austria trip and agree it was excellent
You will need an Austrian Vignette and if you go on ANY of the swiss motorways you will need one for there also.
If you PM me your e-mail address I have a copy of the itenery that we all got.

If you are anywhere near Colmar, take the time to plan in the Route des Cretes across the Vosges. And the Schlumpf Museum at Mulhouse.

Turin has an excellent car museum, concentrating on the history of the Turin motor industry.

If you have the time venture south to Mondovi -you won't regret it!!

And some other places worth visiting between Innsbruck and Turin:

Chuisa/Klausen -delightful, if not over restored, Medieval town;

Bolzano -bit industrial Italian but take the cable car upto the plain north of the town, then narrow gauge railway, the Ritnerbahn, across the plain.

Lake Garda

Bergamo

Monza -nice clothes shops, ice cream parlours and a F1 race track in a park...

The model factory town and UN Heritage site at Crespi d'Adda.

Have fun planning!!
