For those of you that read Porsche Post, a couple of things:

1) My November '968 Register' article was cut by more than half this month. It seems I was too quick with my reports on the Silverstone rounds of the PCGB racing. That will now come out in the Dec issue.

2) Whilst I have your attention, have you got any feedback about the 968 Register articles I write in PP? eg other topics you would like covered? do you enjoy the bits on PCGB racing? would you suggest an interview with anyone close to the world of 968's ? etc etc

all comments gratefully received .....................

How a cheap 968 is a fallacy! The build cost of a black CS. Calipers, engine, cams, tyres, brakes....a list of "to do's" to get a car upto good usuable standard and the cost....i can elaborate rather well! [&:]

Comparison between a white CS and a black CS [;)]

Comparison between a white CS and a black CS, then, having driven a e30 race car, jumping back into a white CS and back into a black CS [:D]

How economical a 968 can be to run - if you're not into track days, suspension "upgrades" etc, just want an enjoyable fun car.12 month / 12k service about £200, 24 month/24k mile service about £300, cam belts etc about £400 every 6 years or 60k miles - I know my coupe was cheaper to run and service than the Rover 820 turbo vitesse it replaced! The history file for my coupe (now owned by Ken Napier of Nine Excellence) is proof of that.

Routine servicing jobs you can do yourself - I know I was surprised how easy it was the one time I did a plugs/filters/oil change on the coupe, even did front discs and pads last year, first time I'd ever played with disc brakes. Used ATE blue brake fluid, really handy having the colour change to see when I had clean new fluid at the bleed nipple - and next change I could use the same but gold colour as you have the colour choice when you buy!

Any hints / tips regarding home maintenance of the 968 + your racing experiences with the car make interesting reading.

With thanks.

Really enjoyed your racing articles. The tech bits always show up something new.

Can you get some folks to write up some trips they have made???

Keep up the good work.

Thanks & Cheers

Oily
