To Region members looking at the March edition of Porsche Post it will seem that we haven't written a report this month. WE HAVE. It hasn't been published, instead a report from Tony and Harriet Shannon is in the Download section of PP.
OK it covers most of what we had to say but it makes us wonder why we bother.
Yes we were at the dinner and we did a bit of the organising for instance.
The hotel.. The Museum.. The DJ... The Magician..The Cornbury House meet and most of the raffle.

We had absolutely no idea this was going into the "Download" section of March PP.

We were not consulted, but had we been contacted we would have asked for both R16 and R31 reports to be fully combined in all aspects. We only sent a report in on the event as part of our 450 word regional report and did not think of it being extracted. We cannot comment any further as we have not received our copy of PP as yet.

Hi All

DOWNLOAD---------------see page71,confused?

Read Bob Lovelace column,he only takes 432 words to give a rather one sided view of the"discussion".

Rather a shame that we have now lost the classic PORSCHE script from the top of PP. Seems to have followed the meeting DN had with Porsche Cars in November 2005. Slowly the influence is being exerted to be fully compliant in all areas. And we were told that the CoC had nothing to do with publications,he ho, what do we know?

Try and have fun

I have no idea what you mean...
I've been looking on the Club site for reports in the download section. But all I can find are a couple of phone logos and some screen savers [:D]

You mean there is a "Download" section in the Magazine? Now that's confusing... (You can tell I haven't got mine yet - as usual [&:] )

Come on Mark, get with it, there's always been a section in PP called 'Downloads' [8|] [;)]

(I did read the title - I thought it meant the report had been pulled from the paper copy - and posted online somewhere).[&:]

I am sure, now that I am nearly 60, that I have learned how the world works.

We are the club and the Factory is a business

Moreton on Marsh people think that strategic alliances are in our interests.

Christians go out into the Colosseum with cat food for the Lions.

I race, rally and commute by Porsche. And Race Fords.

Aah Well, they tell us that they know best.

Toodle PIP!

Paul,

This is not true, we were told from the beginning we had to relinquish the Porsche script as the Company felt very strongly about this, as I am sure you were when you were negotiating the CoC during your stint on the Board. This was a very strong bargaining chip for the Club.
Another publicised effect on Publications was that the Club agreed not to accept adverts for "grey" imports of current models, and in return P agreed to place additional adverts so the revenue was neutral or better.
btw, I am not the expert on CoC, just working from memory

I hope you are having fun.

These posts are off topic...They have nothing to do with Region 31 specifically and should be on the 'Members Only' forum.
Any more off topic posts will be removed.

I did the same, then noticed the heading in the Index.

Like most members I head for Region, Registers and Adverts first.
