Porsche Post has some nice early car stuff in it this month [:D]

Can anyone tell me more about Mark Warings 2.4 register ? Was it an extension to the early 911 register ?

Either way great to see photos of 2.4's meeting up .

Interesting to see Porsche Classic LeMans tickets are going to be organised through PCGB in 2008 & not Porsche club France.

Also a cheap sounding RHD 2.4S in the classifieds @ £33K. If its a good original solid car sounds cheap.

BTW, has there been a piece on the early trackday yet?

James as posted on DDK do hope the club offers the tickets at the same rate as France did last time ,because if they ( PCGB ) add 50% for some mark up then I am up for a row.. that's NOT looking after members best interests that's lining their pockets instead!!

I am offering an olive branch to PCGB to get this right because if they orgainse the paper work and tickets I am not hopeful we even get there!!! it worked well with PCFrance and my fear is PCGB will balls it up!!

Maybe the seller hasn't noticed the market shift in the last year or two?
Or far more likely it's a bit of a dog.

Claim down dear [:D][:D]

Probably someone like Eion Sloane (no doubt he'll strike me down if this isn't the case) will be coordinating the ticketing . . . . so I'm sure it will be fine. As for cost, can't imagine it would be any more, but lets wait and see.

Whatever happens, I like seeing all the old cars together so will be trying to get into the/a club area (as opposed to going independant - and parking it some field next to a TVR[;)]).

As for a write up on the track day . . . no write up as yet . . . suppose someone has to write it .. . . any voluteers? (no me as I spent most of the day swearing and looking helplessly as Barry tinkered).

As for the 2.4 Register . . . . it was an extenstion to the register, and one created by Mark . . . . you might want to speak to Mark diretcly for some more history ( www.wwclassics.com ). Think it's been discussed on here before but I can't find it (the 2.4 Register stickers are very collectable [;)]).

Anything has got to be better than their 'hospitality' (PCF) last year when on presentation of my Club card they refused me entry into their enclosure to buy a baguette.
Agree with Mark though, CLM is all about a good craik, and a bit of fun, don't think we need added bells and whistles and folk moaning about how big your tent is. [;)]

Arr you not alowed to buy a baguette as they were, swapping the packages over from Le Super Machie local bread to PORSCHE braned and bagged baguettes and charging 400% mark up on the Euro's and you wanted one when they where swaping them over!! [:D][:D]

That is such a joke so no need for a PCGB membership badge then.. I still find mine very useful for filling cracks in the walls with filler when i do DIY very classy...[:)]

I hope you clean the filler off that membership card its got a photo of my green sporto engine cover! no scraches please. Berny.

I did a write-up this month on the Region 9 visit to Center Gravity, but until Phase 3 is done I will not have anything particular to write about - I could do a note on Silverstone unless someone else wants to.

As members of the register, anyone can write an article and submit it for 'approval - Mike does a nice job of tidying up any grammar errors etc.[:)]

Lets see if we can keep the section reports alive.

Mark you're moaning about PC France now . . . . it was their baguettes. Why can't you wait and see what's on offer before you dismiss things out of hand - sausage or bacon buttys perhaps[;)]. You should start thinking more positively about these things, perhaps you'll enjoy them more [:D]

I have quite enjoyed the use of the porsche hospitality at CLM as its always has that great location for the grid line up .. nothing better than sitting with a bottle of red watching GT40's, etc lining up ready to be let onto track . In fact I believe Phil enjots that too [;)]

Even if they provided different food etc it wouldn't effect my enjoyment / use of their facitilies
