Scottish Region makes the front page of PP again . Last time was Greig McArthurs 986 Boxster
An excellent article by our own John Hunter on Page 26
John has written a few articles over the years and are always a great read.
Well done

Thank you Brian, I'm pretty chuffed to have made the cover as well, although a big shout to Kevin Emslie Photography is in order, as the pics are by him. Credit too to Steve Rose who was Best Boy and Gopher that day, and it was freezing cold!

+1 Interesting read thanks! I recently had the opportunity to drive the 356, albeit for a much shorter distance, courtesy of R2's 'Gain an Hour Weekend' - thanks to Steve Rose again! It was a great experience; on the open roads up here the car was a revelation and certainly didn't show it's 50+ years but I don't envy you the drive in the rain into Glasgow......

Yeah, it's not unlike riding a motorbike ... fabulous on the right roads and the right conditions [:D] ... but a nightmare on the wrong roads and bad conditions! []

Yes here, here - a fabulous article by John Hunter - it's great to have an R1 member with such literary talents . I drove the 356 three years ago (pre restoration) near Ullapool in a howling gale & driving rain ...... steamy windows, asthmatic ventilation, boat like handling with a 40 foot articulated fish truck sitting an inch from my rear bumper ........ oh how I remember that experience ! A few weeks ago I set out to drive it again at OPC Glasgow and the gear linkage had broken ...... The joys of classic motoring !

You obviously haven't had much luck with the 356 Barry, which is a shame, cos when it's good, it's very very good! Third time lucky perhaps? [;)]
