Porsche Price Rise Protection

Hi all

Just a quick question, I have been working with an OPC on a new 992 Carrera order, the process has been great so far but yesterday they mentioned that even if I place an order I am not protected from future price rises, is this correct as it does not sound right to me? I have bought loads of new cars (non Porsche) and I have never come accross this before, is it a Porsche thing?

Many PC's preserve the price prevailing at the time the order form is signed and the deposit paid.

Yep that is my experience with non Porsche orders, thanks Clive.
 
Each PC is an independent (or group) trading organisation, so it's worth confirming with your PC what their particular policy is.

Will do, it would be a shame as they have been really good so far.
 
The last one was in the second week of November 21 and prior to that March/April 21 (if i remember correctly). I had a deposit down after the price rise in March / April and my order was price protected against the Nov increase.

Thanks NOGOSLW. I spoke to another dealer in the same group earlier and they confirmed that they dont price protect, but he did say I would have been protected from the November rise as it was not a standard price increase (due to semiconductor shortages apparently).

I have a new targa 4 ,delivery march. It was ordered march 2021 and the price is as when ordered .luckily as they have increased in price quite a lot

Thanks Mike, yeah seems a different policy between OPC's on this.
