My radio in my boxster i find drifts off " London" radio stations quite easily. i was driving on the M25 and turned onto the M20 i had only driven a couple of miles and i found "Smooth" FM had drifted and was breaking up. When working i drive my Alfa 147 and i've never encountered this problem. Can anybody shed any light on this?

i think the car is trying to tell you something......

on a more helpful note ([;)]) have you had the screen replaced recently, or anything else fiddled about with?

I bought the car in August 2010 with only 31,000 mls recorded it's always been maintained at Porsche main dealers. Tunbridge Wells, then the last owner had it maintained at Porsche west london. I have continued with maintaining the car at Porsche east london. I've looked through all the invoices and i think that i've still gt the original windscreen. I really don't want to change the radio as it's the wrong thing to do.

Martin, the aerial is the gold wire in the windscreen glass hence why London987 asks about your screen, it connects through a press stud type fitting and is also connected to a signal amplifier.

This set up usually works well, as you have a signal the aerial seems to be good but the amplifier may be questionable or the power connection to the amp. I'm not sure where the amp is in the Boxster but in earlier cars was behind the dash.

Thanks Buddy,
I'll check it out at the weekend i think the amplifier is in the front boot near the bulkhead.
Regards,
Martin
