Does anyone know exactly what actually happens to cause a car to go out of alignment - apart from being in a crash that is?

Is it rubber bushes etc wearing, or metal bending, or the nuts becoming looses and re-adjusting themselves?

On my C2 the springs had "settled" causing the camber to increase to be outside the recommended figures. The increased camber in turn changes the toe-in to toe-out resulting in a very twitchy car. If your tyres wear more on the inside then you may need the camber adjusted.. Not sure about the local garage doing this work as it needs to be set up correctly starting with the rear wheels and then the front following a specific sequence. Changing one parameter changes the other settings as well !

Make sure that they add weights to the front to give the same weight as if the fuel tank is full up, it can make a big difference, if you are anyware near a Protyre garage then they are highly recommended down here, Hampshire, with the place at Micheldever being the best.
