Porsche Service INDIE in Devon?

Hi everyone.

I am new here and on the brink of becoming a 944 Turbo owner. I am also moving down to Devon at the end of the month and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good independent specialist down that way, in the Torbay/South Hams area?

And to finish my introduction, my name as Arum and I am 24 years old (male, in case anyone was wondering!).

And finally, of course once the deal is done and I take delivery of said beastie I shall post some photos.

TIA,

Arum

The nearest independant that I can think of is Andy Moss near Honiton he's very good and quite reasonably priced too. His number is 07762 244477.

Thanks mate. Any other suggestions to give me more options? How about around Plymouth? (hmmm, perhaps not)

I've always heard good things about Andy Moss too.

Also try Crispin Manners at Oaktree Garage in Sidmouth - 01395 568498

there is a sports car specialist that has always worked on all my Porsches well all my cars actually. He's based in Crewkerne South Somerset called Rivermead I think his rates are still £30ph . Only he or his partner works on the Porsche and he is happy to use S/H or non OEM parts and will always try repair before replacement . I cannot recommend him too highly.

the other place mentioned however I cannot personally recommend. I have only used him once and was ripped off . they were meant to tighten my new belts (125 miles old fitted by Parragon) when I got back from Sidmouth he had ripped them out and renewed brand new belts without telling me and I faced a huge bill. He didn't fix the steering pump leak and claimed it needed a new pump. I tightened the hose clip later and fixed the leak myself.nuf said

But which of the mentioned was it???

This is why there's never been a "name and shame" policy on here......

well I wasn't sure what the policy was about naming and shaming which is why I didn't name directly . Not sure of what the law is about it either. Shouldn't be too difficult to work it out though I should have thought . If anyone wants to know they can PM me .It all happened 10 years ago but was so blatent and dishonest I still feel very bitter about it after all these years.
If you would rather I remove or edit my post Paul please pm me and I will do so .
