porsche spacers

Perhaps someone can advise here?

I have bought a set of 20mm spacers that fit on the rear fine but won't slide over the central boss of the front hubs.

it appears that the spigot that sits proud of the spacer and locates the inner of the alloy wheel is the same size as the spigot on my front hubs.

I do need another set of spacers to complete car and are concerened I may buy others that won't fit also. I could have the central bore of the spacers machined out so that they fit the front but wonder if a set which bolt to the wheel hub and have other wheel studs for the wheel to locate may suit.

I also believe the problem may be cause by the hub allready having spacers fitted as the hub assembly looks very different to my experince with motors. They may be just typical 944 setup but as I'm not terribly experieneced with these I just can't comment.

could people look at the front hub picture below and decide how I can fit some 1" spacers to them.

cheers all

20mm spacers! Don't do it.

They would reduce the amount of purchase you have when you apply your wheel nuts. Not correct if they don't fit the hub anyhow.

If you must space out your wheels - definitely go for adapters instead (i.e. with studs).

Try Jasmine for some 18mm or 21mm aluminum adapters. Make sure you let them know you want adapters and the model version. Approx £86 + Carriage + VAT. But they are complete with the stud and nuts you need. If you see Jasmine at a Porsche show they sell them a little bit cheaper on the day.

Expensive I know but the ones I bought were excellent.

it's not a case of limited nut purchase.

if I did machine inner bore out for them to slide over the front hub I would still need to fit longer wheel studs. My concern is will these adapters slide of the hub as it currently is?

still in the dark as to what options are available.

That picture shows that you already have a spacer on the front hub. I would be wary of fitting another spacer on top. You need to remove that spacer and buy a new one that gives you the spacing you need in one hit.
