Porsche special tool

After my M96.23 dropped a valve in November, I'm now in a position to start disassembling the engine to work out how much else needs fixing that #1 cylinder,1 piston, a new cylinder head for 1-3, and an oil pump.

To do this I'm trying to find - as I'm doing the disassembly (and only the disassembly) to as small a budget as possible - the following special tools:

9593 - crankshaft holding tool

9634 - camshaft end holding tool

9611 - camshaft journal holding tool

If anyone has a set I could borrow for a couple of weeks I'd appreciate that, or if they know someone they could put me in touch with ? A local precision engineer has quoted £300 for a set, but I think that may be a tad excessive for a one-off tool.

Thanks in advance.

I got to the point of disassembly where I couldn't turn the crankshaft (without forcing it) to even closely align the notches.

So I improvised - a couple of small clamps, remove all the chain tensioners, and remove the camshaft cover VERY carefully. At £650 a throw for camshafts they aren't cheap.

It worked a treat...
