Porsche specialist Aberdeen area

Hello all, I have not been on the forum for some time after selling my Cayanne Turbo (coolant failure etc etc etc). I am looking at buying a 997.1 06 plate C4S with 70000 miles on clock, I am a 911 virgin and would like to get some local advice and PPI as it would be private sale and from reading the horror stories think this would be advisable.

Would appreciate any advice on local garage or specialists I could contact to get car checked out.

Thanks in advance

Gavin S

Hello Gavin,

I'm sure I heard an ex Aberdeen OPC tech had recently set up in business not far from Aberdeen, just can't remember where or under what name exactly.
Not much help I know, but will try to find out more.

Sandy

Why not just take to Porsche Aberdeen and have their 111 point check carried out. It's the one they do before issuing an extended warranty and is pretty thorough. Forgotten how much it costs, but is in the region of a couple of hundred quid as I recall, but could be money well spent.

Hi Sandy,

I think you're referring to Terry, ex of Porsche Aberdeen, who was working out of Dinnet Garage. Sorry to report I understand he's given it up and gone to work offshore. Not much help to the OP I know, but once again there's not much going on on the independent specialist front up here.

many thanks for responses I ended up getting a 3.4S Boxster from the Aberdeen OPC, wanted the peace of mind with 2 year warranty and fantastic drive anyway, they included a free major service as well

Hope to see some of you at Lairhillock in few weeks time
