I had my old 944 painted there... 4 times, and they still left bare metal in places, bad. very bad.. there attitude to customer service/care is also the worst i've ever come across.
It would take all day to write down my experiance with that sorry lot, but im tired with it and dont want the trauma back.

Can't say fairer than that can you, I would take Kevin's word on this Chris!
(I heard they do a good deal on Zymol, though that might also be urban myth)
Cheers guys

My favourite London paintshop was always George and Chris down in Park Royal, will try to remember their number, they did my car and it has never been mopped, nor polished but the finish they got straight from the gun is amazing, they did a lot of Porsches down there, also Saabs and they used to do Mercs too for the MB guy on the Western Avenue, great work

I had some paintwork done to my 944 at the Northampton OPC and it has had to be redone four times in the past three years, so my personal advice would be to avoid OPC bodyshops for older cars.

As for Solus I would not go near them and I could write a whole book about how bad they were.
My parther had a very simple front wing and bumper repair done under insurance.
Solus were the approved bodyshop. From a simple new wing and bumper the car was returned 5 times with a catalogue of disasterous panel sprays and blends, and incomplete re-assembly and I caught them out several times lying about what they had done to the car.
When they retuned the car on the sixth time the written list of faults agreed by their representative on the fifth delivery was still not done.
They offered to valet the car as recompense !
To this day the bumper has fixings missing and I declined their offer of a valet!

I own a fiat coupe 20vt (don't laugh!!!)
The reason I am posting here is that recently I had my car bashed and the insurance company recommended Body Technics in slough, when I took it in I thought great its a Porsche approved body shop all will be fine....
The estimate was for the work to take 1 week. Two and a half weeks later I was finally told that the car was ready, but they had not repaired the sill.
So I rejected the work and back into the workshop it went.
4 days later I was told its ready again, I inspected the work are and it was fine, got the car home and found faint scratches all over the drivers door and 4 large chips out of the paint work on the passenger side, I know I should have checked the whole car over at the body shop but they parked it so close to another car I could see the passenger side properly. Besides I concentrated on the area they were supposed to work on and I didn't expect a Porsche approved body shop to damage the paint and not sort it out or tell me!
One more thing, there customer service is woeful, I have lost track of the number of time I have called them not got an answer and left a message asking to call me back through out the whole saga.
Please if you value your car don't go here.
