Porsche specialists

Hi,
I have been trying for a while to locate a Porsche specialist in or close to Southampton. I would be grateful for the forum's suggestions and advice.
Thanks
George

Jon Mitchell's in Christchurch are excellent - and no further for you that Bournemouth OPC

http://www.jmgarage.com

Tel: 01202 488800 or 07000 996 911 or email service@jmgarage.co.uk

Thier place doesn't look much but they know their stuff and I have used them several times (I only use the OPC for routine servicing and warranty work although Bournemouth OPC are actually very good and I have no complaints about them other that the high cost of their man hours)

Hi
many thanks I do need to check my clutch and I was having nightmares about the final bill at the OPC

I can second Gizmo750 on his recommendation. Jon Mitchell's in Christchurch are great.

One thing that Jon does not advertise or mention (I have my sources) is that he has some serious credentials with a Porsche pedigree and background that would put every other specialist and main dealer to shame. (PM me for more info)

I was recommended to use Jon (and his team) by Richard Lloyd (ex Porsche Lemans driver) a few years ago and have never looked back. I first went to them with a problem that 4 main dealers and 3 independents could not sort out (had cost me 3 or 4k by that point) and he sorted it in about 30 mins while I waited.

I think he currently has two technicians working with him, and two old fashioned apprentices.

One of the technicians and one of the apprentices are his sons, so a proper family business too.

Ohhh its your car we are all waiting for :)

I want a sound upgrade to my Boxster, but they told me they are trying various sound systems in a couple of 996's first.

Is yours the one with their active bass system? Or is yours the one with the puzzle of the speakers which didnt sound right in the 996 but then sounded ok in one of Jon's cars?
