Hi,

I suggest that you contact your local OPC I have always found them to be very helpful.

Post how you get on.

£215 pa and as the annual subscription is not transferable it likely will be not working. You should have been provided with two fobs and instructions for it - go back to dealer for these who should also be aware of the whole procedure.

Cobra (now part of Vodafone) customer service is +44 844 239 0032

Just bought a 2014 Carrera S with PVTS fitted .
my insurer insists a tracker is fitted so trying to find out
a) is the system currently active
b) what is the cost of keeping the system active

who do I phone to check all of this

thanks

OK sorted , I bought from an Aston Martin Dealer who use the same system as Porsche.

Order form sent to Vodafone Automotive UK

Paid my £212 annual subscription

Sorted thanks for the replies.

I know your insurance company insisted it be connected but when I volunteered to connect my PVTS for £200, mine offered me a £100 discount on the premium...

The cost for this system is madness, for both my BMWs I paid the lifetime subscription of £350 which I did not mind. The annual charge for the Cobra is 75% of my insurance premium by itself!

Not to mention the pain of having to call them every time you go in the Channel Tunnel...

Thieves simply buy the jamming fob on eBay for a tenner or so and the system is rendered useless.

Do you?? on the tunnel I never lock my car, nor do I call them.. nor do I get any notifications from them [&:]

My current motor uses the same system as Porsche, so applies to this and my Previous Porsche..

and it is working OK [;)]

+ 1 with Porsche system.

I was told to call re the Chunnel but didn't and I had no call from Cobra/Vodafone. I know it works as I frequently forget the fob so often talk with the alarm staff who are quite understanding...

I also don't notify Cobra / Vodafone when going through the tunnel and don't get a call, however I did get a call when we went to the Isle of Man on the ferry and had to explain where we were and what we were doing which I thought was pretty obvious if they were tracking the car and could see it was half way between Liverpool and the Island.
