I think the 993's in this colour were limited editions so you may be looking at a very rare car. Vesusvius a deep mauve colour off the top of my head I think the rare ones had different (deep silver/grey) door handles, mirrors and colour grill.. What makes them more rare is these limited editions were also the S model or 2S as some call them. Not much on Google but see http://www.fast-classics.com/cars/porsche-911-c2s-vesuvius-for-sale/
Hope that helps.

Just spotted you are looking for a left hooker, your best area of search will be the USA. Have a look and then contact PCA if now joy.

Good luck with the search.

Hi

I think the Limited Edition one John's thinking of is the 30 Years Porsche Special Edition which was done in this special violet colour as there are three for sale on the Porsche Germany web page but are infact 964 models and not 993 but also on the same web pages they do have a left hand drive in the same colour your after but it's a Carrera 4S if that help you at all.

Yours sincerely Kevin.

The first picture looks like a straightforward C2S, whereas the second looks to be a C2S with an aerokit front spoiler.

good evening all, vesuvius metallic is also possible to order on other models not just the Carrera S where it formed part of a special edition, as stated previously , it had steel grey accents to the exterior badges, door handles , mirrors and rear engine grille, usually with colour coded 17" cup94 design wheels which look a little out of place on a wide body car as we're not used to seeing them In England where almost every owner ticked the optional 18" hollow spoke wheels from the turbo model . I would think it wouldn't be too hard to find one in Europe , the usa cars are inferior with their engine emissions junk and ridiculous suspension running height! Neither of which porsche would choose to fit unless federal law dictates it!
i bet we'll see more than one or two at the lemans classic his year .
christian...

Sorry totally off topic
