Hi All,
I know we have done this to death !, but... Is it really worth £730 for 1 year porsche warranty link on my 2 year old 12K miles 2.7 Box.
I do track days and have had the RMS changed and re checked...

Got to decide by the 24th!..

I can only give you my experience.

My 996TT was taken in for an oil leak - Turned out to be gear oil

Result is it is now having a new gearbox fitted

Interesting... since oil leaks are specifically excluded from the warranty!....
Maybe they found a crack or something more serious!..

Can you transfer it to successive owners? My wife's BMW has a warranty and we have kept it going, it was transferred with the car. Worth it? Not really, but it did encourage us to buy the car and I am sure will help when it is sold on.

So, if it can be transferred and can be renewed then I would keep it going. It does tie you to OPCs though for everything and that needs to be worked into the equation.

Having said that I think the risk profile isn't that great, but there is always Murphy's Law!

I decided not to go with it. My S will be 3 years old in January. I had to have my Water Pump replaced at the 36k mile service and also my RMS was replaced again!!

The RMS was done as a good will guesture. The water pump cost me £400 so I am still in (just). Does the extended only last 12 months or 12k miles? if so then I would of used that up in 9 months.

Graeme
