Well the Cayman is going tomorrow and I will be Porscheless for two months until the 911 comes in September.

I'm very sad.

Go and have a flick through your 997 gen 2 brochure. That will cheer you up[:D]

the grin in september will be worth the wait, darren[:D]
2 months is as long as i could manage porscheless -i feel your pain!!

Spec for FL 997 is as follows:

C2S Coupe
Ruby Red
19" Carrera Sport Wheels
Black leather
Sports Seats
PDK
Sport Chrono Plus icw PDK
Heated Seats
Heated steering wheel
Floor mats
Rear section of centre console painted in ext colour
Door entry guards in Stainless Steel
PCM extended Navigation
Bluetooth telephone module
PASM Sport with - 20mm and LSD
iPod adapter

All the essentials there I think.

September won't be too long and I have a 4 week holiday in the middle so it will soon come - work for two weeks - holiday - work for two weeks then new car!!

I am still bleeding from the trade in price. When all is said and done I have lost about £13/£14k from the original £40.5K purchase price 18 months and 20 K miles ago. I did get a couple of better offers but nothing to make the hassle worth while. I don't have a problem with the OPC making fair margin but I would prefer more transparency and open book accounting of the deal. I would have liked £2/3 K more but I am resolute not to worry about it as you have to make due balance on these things - I specced the pdk at £2500 with about quarter of a seconds thought!

I kinda wish sometimes I didn't car about cars they must cost me a fortune....I have a mate who buys a 6 month old focus every 3 years and doesn't show any interest in what he could actually buy!!

My daughter cried when I took her out for a last blast!

Darren, I hope the car makes up for the wait worthwhile [:)] I'm sure it will

I was Porscheless when waiting for this one to be delivered... the pain of the trade in kept me strong during the wait [;)]
Typically is was a busy time with lots going on whilst I had no Porsche.. I did however save a fortune on fuel [:D]

Just seen the pictures of the Turbo in facelift guise.. [&:]

Come on Gary let see those Turbo pics.

Anyone seen or heard of a Mk2 GT3? The C2S with PDK is now as quick as a GT3 unless I am mistaken so keen to see what happens with the GT3. Will the 3.6 engine continue?

Looks like a very good spec you got there.

You will definitely enjoy.

Don't think the new version is - there are pics on the 997.2 micro site - with ipod and USP and AUx inputs - looks hardwired and is controlled through PCM??

yes, the Gen2 PCM looks to be all sorted for ipod and other inputs...
Agree that the PCM with ipod adapter is a bit of hit or miss..

I wonder if the phone works ? [;)]
