Some good video footage of GT3s in European rallying on this site -

Click on the youtube link.

Videos are generally good enough quality to go full-screen.

Nice. Which reminds me: has anyone thought of doing any of the huge European hill climb events? Drove over a couple of the tracks recently and even with traffic they are awesome.

I remember Robert King from Kilmarnock who was a member of the club , he had a 964 c4 rally car and used to do Irish tarmac rallying with it with Jimmy Mcrae driving. The car then went on to do Scottish rallies with Dom Buckley driving. I'll try and find some video.

here is the car in Jersey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blQWnppLHO4

You have a porsche starting from Glasgow which is doing the Rallye Monte Carlo Historique on Saturday 26th January along with I think six other cars who are starting from Glasgow on their leg of the concentration run to Rheims then with others on to Monte Carlo. see who is entering on www.acm.mc

Went to see the start of the Monte Carlo at Clydebank College this year and only one Porsche had entered Driver R Pearson car no 194 reg FNH 51X a white 924 It was a very poor turnout with about 10 cars starting .What a difference from the Jan 2011 event when there where about 100+ and loads of Porsches starting from Blythswood Square .Giving my age away i remember the start way back in the 60s as well as the 70s .We had a grand stand spot overlooking the start in the RAC club thanks to Christina one of our members .The reason i was told that it had been moved was that Glasgow was grid locked that evening as tens of thousand turned out to view the cars and the city came to halt around this area .Have loads of photos of the event but no idea how to down load .
