portable garages

Hi, has anyone used a folding garage or portable garage before.
i am looking to purchase one for my boxster, but was wondering if they damage the paint work when folded up and down.
It looks from pics i have seen that it may fold down on the bumpers causing marring on the paint. are they a pain to use ect.
any advice would be great.

Can't answer your question - but they sound interetsing - I might be interested in one - do you have a link to the picture?

The biggest issue with them is anchoring them down for windy weather, particularly if they are used alonside a wall or house.

I take it you mean something like this one ? The side panels generally velcro on - just a variation of a gazebo really !

I'm thinking of getting something like this for a classic car I own. Seems a bit more sturdy.

The one i looked at is a folding type, you drive up to it then lift the cover up and it folds on hinges up and over the car.
cant remember which site i saw it on, but if you put in a search for folding garages it comes up.
cheers all.
