Possible 'go to' events for 2018

As an antidote for the autumn blues, I have been thinking of events that might feature in my 2018 itinerary. I started a list as a basis for selecting some to attend and then realised that others may be going through the same process. It is always better to go with other enthusists and R3 group attendance is always more fun. So this is a thread for things that 'might be fun' or to invite others to see who is interested in going. Any event that gets to the 'serious intent' stage will get its own thread. So here's my starter for ten:

Monaco Classic. May 11,12,13 (provisional)

Le Mans Classic. 6,7,8 July

Le Mans. 15,16,17 June

Silverstone Classic. 27,28,29 July (provisional)

Goodwood Revival 7,8,9 September

F1 per latest calendar:

Monaco. May 27

Paul Richard. June 24

Silverstone. July 8

Spa. Aug 26

Monza. Sep 2

Nurburgring. To be planned.

At the moment I am inclined towards the three default events of Monaco and Silverstone classics and the Goodwood revival. I would like to do the Monza GP (automotive bucket list) but with Paul Richard on the agenda..... sunshine!

Please add your thoughts, comments or interest.

Lycian are doing Village On The Curves for the Le Mans Classic as well as the 24 hour, we're hoping to do the Classic in 2018 as well as the Goodwood Revival.

Great idea to cheer up the longer nights.

Definitely up for the Monaco and Silverstone Classics :)

David and Karen.

If anybody needs accommodation for Le Mans/Classics, let me know as a mate of mine has a farm house only 35 minutes from the track. It's located in a small hamlet with a large garden, parking, three bedrooms and would probably sleep 8-10 people.

I’m uhhming and ahhing about a Nurburgring trip again next year.
I have added this to the list. Last time I went, I did a lap in a diesel Ford Galaxy people carrier. Not pretty.

The Le Mans classic accommodation sounds good Mark. Will see who else would be up for the trip.

Monaco Classic now has its own thread and tickets are being bought. It would be useful to know who is going, (especially if anyone is intending to drive down) and where folk are planning to stay.

Silverstone Classic tickets are now on sale, and the discount codes are available through the newsletter. A separate thread will be started shortly. Roll up! Roll up!
