I took my 944 out of the garage 2 weeks ago after 4 months of hibernation. I drove it 15 miles the stopped. The following day
I changed the oil and filter along along with some new plugs. I drove it home the same day and gave it a hard drive
On arrival at my garage my wife noticed water gushing from the front of the car. I left it overnight as it was pitch black.
A week later I returned to the car and set about checking the coolant. I borrowed a pressure testing kit and pumped 12 psi
Into the system, left it for ten mins then returned to notice no pressure had been lost. I bleed the system and began running the car as normal. Top hose was hot an fairly soft as were the lower hose and rad. Car ran for about 40 mins getting 3/4 up on gauge then fan kicks in (only 1) and takes back to half. After leaving for a bit longer temp gauge creeps up to max and water in resevoir starts creeping up and water overflows out of system. I have installed new cap but can't figure this out. Is it possible head gasket failure.

I don't lose any pressure on pressure test.
New cap installed.
Both upper and lower hoses hot and fairly soft
New water pump 2 yrs ago and thermostat.

Any ideas?
