Possible road trip 2018 Germany/Italian Lakes/Swiss mountain passes?

Considering the trip in our 718 Cayman S in June/July 2018. Would welcome any practical advice and tips.

I have not done this type of trip in Europe (but have extensive experience of trips in N. America) apart from driving to Spa Gp last year- involving a slight run in with Belgian coppers but we won't dwell on that!

I know that there are a number of specialist companies that do driving packages, any thoughts on which are the best ? Are these mainly group events or do they offer independent travel- which we would prefer ?

I could plan the route myself (although may not have knowledge of best driving roads)and book hotels but would like to be sure that the hotels are decent and have good secure parking, I suppose that is what you pay for in a package.

I hate channel ferries as I don't have good sea legs so have used Channel Tunnel.

Would like to do possible factory tour/museum at Stuttgart and blast on de-restricted autobahn.

Thinking of 10/14 days to combine it with a bit of sightseeing?

I have Porsche Assist, will this cover Europe?

Yes porsche assist covers Europe

we have done this several times but usually spend 3 weeks or more to enjoy it !

there are nice hotels in Luxembourg inc chateau schengen on way out allowing cheap fill with shell super (lux much cheaper) and then usually have lunch at porsche museum.

then lots of autobahn down to Zurich

lots of passes and usually stay St Moritz and bormio to allow for furka simple and susten circuit the Stelvia area

then from st moritz nice drive down to the grand hotel Tremezz on lake combo for few days for the mrs to rest!!

we usually then drive to Beaulieu sur mer to la reserve for a few days fitting in the col de TorinI from menton as a day trip before coming home via the route napoleon from grasses to Grenoble via castellane lunch stop and gorge du verdon

enjoy!!

Thanks looks like a good tour unfortunately I can't spare three weeks to do it justice!

I did a roving tour which included high passes in Austria, Stuttgart, Sinsheim and a few other places after Le Mans about three years ago, each day I would decide on where I wished to travel to and then book a hotel on the Booking.com site through my phone, contact Porsche Zuffenhausen and they will give some recommendations plus you need to contact them for the factory tours anyway.
