Possibly Selling

I seriously thinking of selling my S2 and drafted the ad below.
I would appreciate any comments on content and asking price, although no pics it is not concours but an unmaked good un.
I was thinking of placing the ad on Pistonheads in the hope of reaching those that already know the basics and specs of the 944 S2. Is that the best place to advertise?
Thanks
Bob Falkner

Porsche 944 S2 for sale. £8,500.
1989, 3 Litre. 104,000 mls. Metallic Black with Burgundy interior in excellent condition. Unmodified and all original. Non catalytic model. Full service history. All original handbooks, recorded history and record of expenditure kept. 4 previous owners. Purchased at 71,000 mls. by current owner for the last 13 years. Burgundy sports seats with Studio cloth inserts. Larger 996 colour crested alloys fitted, with new tyres all round in Oct 2013. Original pattern 90 alloys also included with sale. Last major service and belts in Oct 2013 at 98,520mls. No DIY work ever undertaken as always serviced and maintained by Independent Porsche Specialist, GT One, Chertsey. Usual 944 rusty cills have also been replaced by specialist coach builders. Never thrashed or track dayed. All equipment on car working. Includes original tools and unused spare wheel, inflation compressor and sun roof bag. Just Mot’d this August. Taxed to April 2017.
Cons; Steering wheel leather could do with restitching. Two advisors on Mot, rust on central exhaust box, and slight lipping of front discs noted. Slight chipping of paint on edges of sun roof. Fitted Kenwood Stereo KRC-777R with multichanger has recently gone wrong. I’m trying to get it repaired but fear it may be terminal. Usual scuffing of driver’s seat door side bolster. The car is priced accordingly.
I love the car but selling as it is not my daily driver and not being used enough to justify the expense of keeping it. However if it’s not sold for very near the asking price it will be returned to the garage to gather further value.

Hi Bob,

Not a bad advert, pretty informative, but a couple of points if I may?

1. You mention its unmodified and original, with 996 wheels and kenwood stereo.
2. Tax until April 2017, new rules are that when you sell and sends the V5 slip to DVLA they refund you, the new owner has to buy from the outset.

I sold my S2 in May for similar money, PM me if you want me to email across the advert I put together, to use as a guide?

I used pistonheads with success. Good luck, seems a good buy ??

Thanks Mike
I really meant unmodified regarding engine, suspension etc.
Thanks for info on tax. I didn't know that.
Bob

No probs, might be worth putting the PH link on the for sale forum as well to direct us forum items to it... You never know.

Pics essential, but burgundy interior with studio cloth won't be to everyone's taste with black bodywork. Any record of clutch change? Registration no. for checking MOT history is becoming more important for those interested. Otherwise, sounds fairly priced. Don't mean to sound negative, just things I'd ask before a viewing.
