With the holidays over, I would like to share a personal experience with all our friends in 997 Register about drinking and driving. This is a first for me, as I normally don't preach to others.
Some of we sportier drivers have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time, especially on the way home after a "social session" out with friends. Well, two days ago I was out for a convivial evening with friends and had several beers, followed by a couple of rather enticing bottles of claret.
At the end of the evening, whilst feeling very jolly and at peace with the world, I still maintained the presence of mind to consider that I may be a shade over the alcohol limit.
That's when I decided to do something I don't often do - I took a cab home. [

Sure enough on route, there were the police, who had set up a road block and were randomly breath testing drivers. However, since it was a taxi... they naturally waved it past and I arrived home safely and without incident
Now, at this point I must stress that to me, this was indeed a real surprise .....cause...quite simply, I had never driven a cab before. I have no idea where I got it and now that it's in my garage, I don't know what to do with it....... ! [8|]
