I know it's probably in the wrong place...but you're all so helpful here[:)]

I've posted pics occassionally on here without any difficulty. Just thrown up a wanted ad' and I can't get the picture to display.

Always seemed to manage with
Has something changed?

I've tried clicking on the add image icon - but I'll be damned if I understand what it's telling me.

Have you tried it using the image file ref itself? (.jpg .gif etc) that link in your post goes to an html page and although I can see the image, I can't get the actual filename.

I don't know if this is the right answer or not - but it is strange isn't it?

Anything PC related is strange to me Mark! Certainly used to work the way I described though

I guess you saw the image by pasting the URL into Google or similar?

Dave

The PCGB forum uses 'image' rather than other forums that use 'img' between the square brackets.

Also the link you quoted is to a forum page rather than an image - if you've uploaded the image to the server (rather than hosting on an external site like Flikr or Photobucket) the image is tied to that forum post and can't be re-linked with the 'image' tags

Personally I use Photobucket to upload to - I can then post the picture as many times as I like without taking up space on the PCGB server - and the image is available on other forums to use to.

Thanks Philip[;)]

Seems the image will display using or [IMG] tags....loaded into photobucket and works.

All I want is a "yes, I've got one" reply to the add!
