Potential new owner of a 996

Can this Register offer any help/advice to a Boxster Register member with a friend who is considering buying a 996 as his first Porsche, it would be his daily driver. The car in question (V833 TVY) is Arctic Silver with full ox blood red leather interior, it looks stunning. It has covered 91k miles with a full set of stamps in the book. All bar 2 of the stamps are OPCs the exceptions being Chelsea Carrera Ltd. We haven't yet seen any invoices and a service is currently due. All bar 2 of the services were carried out in London, Leeds and Reading being the exceptions. Apart from the obvious like tyres and general condition any advice will be much appreciated.

Pretty much the same buying advice for a Boxster applies to the 996 Carrera. There is a buyer's checklist you can download here: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/fb.asp?m=269468 which might be a start.
