Dp you mean 30mm? 30cm is about 12", so I'm not surprised there was an awful crash! If the car hasn't had a full alignment in the last 2 years, I would get it done anyway. Most people rave about Chris Franklin at Centre Gravity, and I doubt there is a better place to take it. I just can't justify the distance to visit him, so I have no personal experience. [Cue lots of satisfied customers.......]

Pothole Impact - is alignment needed?

Hi. Travelling down a very small lane today (1 car wide) and road had completely fallen apart with a good 30cm drop. Tried my best to drive slowly and miss the worst but still made an awful crash. Having said that car is stil driving fairly true.
Is a 4 wheel alignment a worthwhile exercise if car feels fairly similar to before and how much would somewhere like center gravity charge for an alignment check?
Is 996 C4 a strong car in terms of potholes impacting suspension or fragile. I would be interest to know if anyone else has had geo knocked out, but not been fully aware until an alignment check?
I have had the 996 C4 for 7 months and no alignment checks to date. Is it best after all 4 tyres are changed?
Ta, Steve

It was a 300 mile round trip for me last time I went to CoG. Knowing the quality of service now I'd travel 1000 to get up there if need be - Chris is a brilliant chap who knows his stuff, one of the best services I have ever encountered. Absolutely recommend.ORIGINAL: Richard Hamilton Dp you mean 30mm? 30cm is about 12", so I'm not surprised there was an awful crash!
