Anyone know the price of a new power steering hose from OPC. Would call but they are now closed until Monday.
Its the one from the rack back to the pump (return I think as its not the one going through the cooler).

Just trying to work out if 2nd hand is worth it over new (price wise).

Its this one in the photo:

Hiya

No idea ! It's likely to be expensive from OPC. IMHO, your best bet is to remove the existing hose and take it to a local Hydraulics company Pirtek or someone similar. They'll use the existing ends/connectors and manufacture you a brand new hose (in aeroquip if you want) for half the price of a new one.

You could go down the 2nd hand route, however you might well end up with a similar problem (leaking..) in years to come.

Yours, having done the same for most of the hydraulic pipes on my car...

It would be nice to take it off and have one made but its my daily driver so need it working and also I like to keep it looking stock.

Tom, I have a new pattern one here. Tried to e-mail you but it is bouncing back. Drop me a mail,
Alasdair

I got one in May last year, £56.27 on the bottom line. (From Main dealer, Aberdeen Porsche Centre, with club discount.)

At that price you`d get two from Pirtek!

Also if you google "online hydraulic hoses" you can get them made up on line and posted.

All sorted now, thanks to Alasdair.
Steve think you must have got a different pipe as OPC said £178 plus VAT.
