Power steering rack

Is the power rack on the oval dash model the same as the early dash model ?? , i need to know as im about to change my suspension to the later type but didnt get the rack with the new suspension .

I believe it is. The differences as I understand it are in the steering column and the tie rods, but I think even early dash PAS racks have the same tie rods as later ones. I know for sure that the worst case is you would have to change the tie rods.

Crossmembers are different in that non-PAS cars don't have the PAS rack mounts, but PAS rack cars have the non-PAS rack mounts, so I believe that that crossmember was used across the range from the introduction of PAS as an option. In other words only the very earliest non-PAS cars have an unsuitable crossmember.

I put another rack on mine and had to put my old Inner tie bars on as the ones that come with the new rack was shorter.

Mine already has power steering but it does leak slightly,so rather than change the ends it going to be easier for me to just replace it. Anyone have one for sale ???
