power steering

Hi have a 1983 lux 944 that has NO power steering is it possable to replace the steering on this car and replace it with power steering from 944 that has power steering that is being broken up
any advice or help please

I would have thought so but I have just been refitting the PAS gubbins on my race car, what a pig of a job. I ended up loosening off and moving the return cooler line in order to get the union to line up onto the rack even though it all looked spot on already it just wouldn't line up onto the rack right. When everything is in just the right place on these cars it all just slots together. Had to loosen both the rack and the ARB mounting to get access but I will crack it and get all this done myself.

Hopefully someone will be along soon who has knowledge of the early cars, mine is an S2.

 
It can be done and it has been done but you will need to change all of the steering components and the front cross member also. I think the general consensus is more hassle than it is worth.
