Power Window Crunch

Hi All
My drivers side power window has broken, it wont go up or down and just making a nasty crunching noise
I think it is probably the regulator
Is this a simple job?
Any idea on costs?
Is this a common fault?

I had the drivers side regulator go recently but it was replaced under warranty so can't give any idea of the cost - sorry. I don't reckon it's a DIY though![;)]
 
There are details of interior trim removal in the Technical Section, but you have to be a Club member to access them.
