POWERED WINDOWS RELAY

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me EXACTLY where the relay for powered windows is located. I have surfed the web and the best answer I can come up with is that it "is under the dash on the driver's side". As the answer came from an American site, I assume that it is somewhere on the LHS. The car has always had an intermittent problem with the windows not working and for some reason it has now gone solid. I have done the obvious things like checking the fuse and I know the switches are ok. An accurate wiring diagram would help. Is there anything better than the Haynes Manual?

Thanks,

John Bradbury

Hello,
If you pull the glove compartment out i believe you will find them behind there. Thats were they are in my 1981 924 at any rate.

Thanks very much, I could actually get at it without removing the glove box. If it is of interest to anyone, the relay contact overheats when it is in the 'on' position and welds itself against a plastic stop when it goes to the 'off' postion..
