Powerflow air filter

Are you meant to remove the J-pipe and mount it behind the headlight? I don't know that kit specifically, but there are 2 types, one that mounts where the airbox used to be and one thay puts the cone in the (cooler?) area behind the nearside headlight.

i got it from Porsche Shop so assumed it would be a direct fit - it must go directly into the MAS, but guess the J pipe could go (although there is another pipe coming off the J pipe?)

it would certainly be better placed behind the headlight so that it can draw in some cool air?

could they have sent me a kit for a post 86 turbo or do they have the same arrangement?

All Turbos are the same in this area. I'd have expected something to go in place of the J-pipe if it is meant to b removed I suppose as you're right, you have some other connections to it for things like crankcase vent and bypass valve.
