Went on an easter break and travelled in style.... that is ....

1x 4 man tent
4x Sleeping bags
2x Mountain bikes
8x Porsche magazines
Pots, pans, stoves, lanterns, clothing for usual Scottish arctic blast, cycling helmets, ruck sacks, guides to castles et al and I could still see out the rear view mirror.

Its amazing what will fit in a car which boot isn't stuffed full of engine. [:D]

But in true 'Apollo thirteen' style, it managed to pour oil all over the Scottish Highlands after sprouting a none inconciderable leak in the general region of the new oil pressure sender/ oil cooler seals. But we got home fine.

And a pic at the rear gate of Blair Castle, just before the hounds were released (two Spaniels, and not very fierce ones at that.)

Wow i thought you joking when you added two mountain bikes!

No. And here it is all set up. And that was a full suspension and front suspension bike, seat folded down but not removed. With the wheels off they fit neatly next to each other with the wheels laid on top. No damage to the panels in the car or the back of the seats, although it was always best to check the rear glass clearance so as not to poke a quick release through the glass.

And here is a pic of it all out of the car. I have only just noticed that the car would possibley fit inside the tent.

That would of been funny if you parked the car in the tent.
It's wired how all that fits in the boot but i cant fit one large suitcase. Unless the seats go down.

Err... my significant other is unlikely to entertain any such notion.... especially as the car is lavished with some rather expensive wax using the exuse to spend twice the monthly food budget for a rather puny pot 'to protect it from the weather'.

I suspect that my dinner would be in the dog, and my bedding in the garage, and my ever depleted credit card charged with the high speed extraction by limo to the nearest luxury Spa that serves only Moet by the magnum (for medicinal purposes).
