Following the success of last years event at Beaulieau we're obvioulsy planning another.

Can't be specific with the details other than it should be in June and at Duxford (a little more central).

If anyone's got any suggestions or wants to help out on the day (or before) please let me know.

Currently being looked at, to have an early car section at this years Silverstone Classic meeting July 28, 29, 30th and a possible classic track day on the Silverstone circuit on the Monday attached to the classic meeting. Also as with last years event which was organised at the very last minute, there should be a Retrorun type of rally on the Saturday which normally has some Parade Lap sessions on Sunday morning.
That makes it a four day weekend at the end of July. More news when we have it.
 
Any form of track time at Silverstone would be great . . . lets hope the car and me make it make from Classic Le mans in one piece . . . July is going to be very busy.

I would say to all us Oldtimers . . .Silverstone classic was excellent last year (and remember Classic Le mans clashes with Goodwood).

Helen the Duxford event will be (and is designed to be) open to all pre- 1973 Porsches . . . hence the name [:D].

Andy - yes there was some confusion with that date, should be pre -74 but like last year you'll see references to pre 73 . . . we're doing it to keep people on their toes (actually Fred printed a load of stuff with pre 73 on so it's kind of stuck . . . poor excuse I know, but I like concepts that or fundamentally flawed - hence the reason I own a 911[;)].)

Looks like the Silverstone event might become the pre 73/74 day/weekend (after comms from Fred 356).

This doesn't stop us having another Duxford day later in the year mind you . . but we'll see)

silverstone sounds good + track day.If you want any help just drop us a email.
Still awaiting news on our entries for classic leman,we must make sure we all meet up for a beer at some point,but hopefully not in between races!
 
We'd be up for either (Duxford or Silverstone), Beaulieau looked like fun last year but just too far for four of us in the old 'un. On the Pre-73 issue I don't know if this applies but I race Classic Motocross (or Scrambles if you prefer the oldschool term) and although 1973 model is the cut-off, the class is referred to as Pre-73 as it includes models manufactured prior to Dec 31st 1973 - hence includes 1974 models - and this applies to Porsche as well.

James . . . Duxford is a 'maybe'. I'd personally like to have a early Porsche gathering there as well as Silverstone . . . something informal, maybe later in the year when things quieten down (on the events front).

or even another Beaulieau Day. I spoke with Lord Monty and his team at a drinks do at the palace a few weeks back and the back field is ok to use again.. But if we do go again we must do a drive though the forest on a planned route as it is stunning driving..

But Silverstone yep I am up for that. Last time I was there I ran around the whole track for charity..[;)] when I was 13 [&:]
