I have been let down with the quality of 2 replacement bonnets from Mittelmotor, so the last one I am trying to get my money back and now need a perfect quality used one to complete the restoration

I am interested in the Mettlemotor ones as I have one here I need to paint for my 69... I do hope it is ok I have not heard Nick say any different as well had one each..from them

Mittelmotor have agreed to refund me the cost of the second bonnet, but I shall have to split the cost of returning this second one with them

Othan the bonnet Mittelmotor have been just fine with quality and price I should say, just let down by their sub-contractors who supply the bonnets

pity, they were a good price, but just not up to quality and not something I would recomend, although I know Nick Moss has used them in the past

I think I have secured a second hand one, hopefuly it will fit beter........

I have bought 3 in the past, one of which went to Mark. My two were perfect and I have 4 more on the way at the moment, I just hope that they are OK.

fingers crossed they will be fine, maybee I just got them from a bad batch, not only were they dented at the front, but they had varying "flat" aras around the fronts but both were just the wrong shape, they were tried on my car with new original wings (from Mittelmotor, which were perfect) that fitted onto the inner wings perfectly

So by a process of elimination it had to be the bonnets that were just the wrong shape

When the joints were corect along the base of the windscreen the joints down the wing edges were tapered, not constant and in places no joint at all, also the compound curve of the side of the bonnets was not curved, but a series of flats and curves, so the relationship between wing and bonet was not constant

At over £500 to then have to start to do serious cutting and filling is not acceptable
So second hand it will be, which will need work, but at least its starting at a much lower cost

I am sure they all need work and filler, but it should be at least the correct shape for that kind of money

No problem with the rest of their parts I should say
